One of the first things Chris and I discovered about each other is that we both love to travel and explore. So Chris decided to propose while we were doing what we love; traveling.
It all began with a surpise weekend to Mackinaw Island. If you have never been there it full of natural beauty. Most of the Island is a nature preserve so no cars are allowed.
Our first morning there we rented a couple bikes so we could go exploring. Around lunch time we stopped at this little beach facing Mackinaw bridge and Chris lays out an entire picnic lunch. He also brings out this tiny little gift box all wrapped up. I open it to find a beautiful heart shaped diamond ring he had custom made. Then he asked me to marry him. Needless to say I said yes.
The next morning as we were having breakfast on the beach we decided we would have a destination wedding.
When we started to talk about a location for the wedding we couldn't think of anything more amazing than getting married in the Riviera Maya. We fell in love with the area back in 2007 and we know you will too. More Info...
